Afrobeats is undoubtedly, a global music genre, however, a recent video of veteran American rapper, Snoop Dogg shows that Afrobeats has captured the hearts many music lovers outside Africa more than what we think of.
In the clip that hit the internet, Amerian rapper, Snoop Dogg reaches out to popular Nigerian singer, Temilade Openiyi better known as Tems for a song collaboration.
According Snoop Dogg, he is a fan of Tems and would like to make a song with her noting that his fans can’t wait to vibe to their collaboration together.
Tems who rose to prominence with her hit song “Try Me” in 2019 has shown that she has come to stay in the music industry on a global level. She featured and delivered so well in Wizkid hit song “Essence”
On 29 April 2022, Tems was featured alongside Drake on American rapper Future’s single, “Wait for U”, from the latter’s ninth studio album, I Never Liked You. In July 2022, Tems was announced as a guest artist on Beyoncé’s album Renaissance among other.
